This is a personal website. It doesn't sell anything or show ads.

External links

This site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Chess.com and Nuvate. I have no control over their content, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact me, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Who is responsible

Alex Suter is responsible for the processing described here. For any privacy question, email alex.suter17@yahoo.com.

Visiting the website

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel's servers automatically process technical data to deliver the page and keep it secure: your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, and your browser and operating system. Vercel keeps these logs for a short time only.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, I receive your name, your email address and your message. I use them only to answer you. The message is delivered to a private channel on Discord, run by Discord Inc. (USA), that only I can read.

I keep your message as long as needed to handle your request and delete it afterwards. I don't pass it on to anyone or use it for marketing.

No cookies, no tracking

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts, images and videos are served from this website itself, so no other company learns about your visit.

Data abroad

Vercel and Discord may process data in the USA and other countries. The transfer relies on recognised safeguards, such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask which data I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to the processing. Just email alex.suter17@yahoo.com.

If you think your data is being processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

I update this policy when the website changes. The current version is always the one on this page.
